Print Quality Guarantee
If your print isn't right, we reprint it free.
Every job in the Print Partner Network is covered. Tell us within 7 days of delivery, send a photo, and we make it right — a free reprint first, and a full refund if the reprint doesn't fix it.
When you pay, and when you get your parts
Payment is taken in full at checkout, before printing begins. Custom parts are made to your file and can't be resold, which is why every print service works this way. Your parts ship as soon as they're finished and inspected.
If something's wrong
- Tell us within 7 days of delivery. Email info@3dprintiverse.com with your order number, or flag it on the review form we send you.
- Send photos. A clear photo of the problem settles most claims in a single reply. No return shipping needed unless we ask for the part back.
- We reprint it free. Priority queue, no cost to you, and we cover the shipping both ways.
- If the reprint doesn't fix it, you get a full refund — including what you paid for shipping. You keep whatever we already sent.
What's covered
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Warping, layer separation, stringing, visible defects | Free reprint. Full refund if the reprint fails too |
| Wrong material, wrong color, wrong size | Free reprint. Full refund if the reprint fails too |
| Missing features that are present in your model | Free reprint. Full refund if the reprint fails too |
| Damaged in transit, or lost by the carrier | Free reprint or full refund — your choice |
| We quoted or specced it wrong | Full refund, and we'll tell you plainly that it was our error |
What isn't covered
| Situation | Why |
|---|---|
| The model itself has unprintable geometry — walls too thin, unsupported spans, non-manifold mesh | We flag these before printing whenever we spot them. If you ask us to print it anyway, the result is on the file |
| The part doesn't fit your assembly, but matches the file you sent | We print your model to spec. We don't design or validate fit unless you've bought design work |
| You uploaded the wrong file or the wrong version | We print what we're given. Tell us before production starts and we'll swap it at no charge |
| Normal characteristics of the process (see below) | These aren't defects. They're how the technology works |
What's normal, and what's a defect
3D printing is not injection molding. The following are inherent to the process and aren't grounds for a claim:
- Visible layer lines on FDM parts. Finer layer heights reduce them; nothing removes them entirely without post-processing you can order separately.
- Dimensional variance within ±0.5 mm or ±0.5% of the dimension, whichever is greater. Tighter tolerances are available on request and quoted separately.
- Light support marks on down-facing surfaces and overhangs, cleaned but not sanded smooth unless you ordered finishing.
- Slight color variation between filament batches, and between your screen and the printed part.
- Minor seam lines where each layer starts and ends.
Anything beyond these — warping, cracks, delamination, holes, gouges, stringing that won't clean off — is a defect, and it's covered.
Cancellations
Cancel before we assign your job to a partner and you get a full refund, no questions. Once printing has started, material and machine time have already been spent, so a cancellation refunds your payment minus those costs — never more than 50% of the job. Once the part has shipped, the quality process above applies instead.
Who prints your job
Your job goes to a vetted partner in our network, matched on capability first, then location. Every partner has a public profile with their equipment, capabilities and reviews from customers like you. After delivery we'll ask you to rate them — that rating decides who gets the next job.
